All coaches & Managers are required to complete the new WAA Coach and Volunteer Application
Do you have interest in Coaching within Waxhaw Athletic Association? WAA instituted a new single COACH & VOLUNTEER APPLICATION that will serve as the only registration for coaches with WAA moving forward.
The all new 2024/2025 WAA Coach and Volunteer Application incorporates your application to be a coach within Waxhaw Athletic Association for ALL Sports, but also allows you to complete your mandatory yearly Background Check and SafeSport Abuse Training (or refresher course).
ALL persons who plan to be coaches, managers or volunteers with access to players must complete the application, background check and training.
Please Note: If you have completed the original background check form prior to July 2024, you will need to click the link above and update your information in the application to be current.
Waxhaw athletic association background check & us center of safesport abuse training
All Volunteer Coaches & Managers MUST complete the Application for their respective sport, WAA YEARLY BACKGROUND CHECK & SAFESPORT Abuse Prevention Program Training. These must be completed before assignment to a team.
** Specifically for WAXHAW SOCCER CLUB: Volunteer coaches will complete the NCYSA Background Check & Abuse Training.

For all other coaches (Baseball, Girls Softball, Flag Football, Basketball, Cheer, Volleyball) please continue. Once you've completed the initial Background Check form, you will be sent an email to begin your SafeSport Training. You can also find any needed training at https://my.sportngin.com/user which will have updates as to what you may need to complete.
AGAIN, ALL VOLUNTEER COACH APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE THE WAA BACKGROUND CHECK & US CENTER FOR SAFESPORT ABUSE TRAINING.
