Established just a short 12 years ago, Waxhaw Flag Football has grown to be the Waxhaw Area's "Go To" clubs for Winter Flag Football Seasons. We offer Four Age Based Divisions ranging from 5yrs to 13yrs of age. We are excited to kick off our 13th season later this Fall and look forward to having you join us! 

winter 2023 EVALUATIONS UPDATE

Due to conflicts this coming weekend, we have rescheduled Flag Football Evaluations to November 15 & 17. Schedule is as follows:

• Nov. 15th @ 6:30pm - BIG10 & ACC
• Nov. 17th @ 6:30pm - SEC & NFL

BIG10 (5-7 Years), ACC (8-9 Years), SEC (10-11 Years), NFL (12-13 Years). Ages are as of September 30, 2023.

We are still finalizing the dates for this years Flag Football season. Please stay tuned as we are working on revamping the entire program!

• Second Coaches Meeting - November 8, 2023, 6:00pm, Nesbit Park Concession Stand
• Registration Closes - November 12
• Evaluations: NEW DATES

WINTER 2023 WORK BOND

The Work Bond is a deposit that is paid for each registered player and will be refunded via the same payment method when a parent or guardian serves as a scorekeeper, timer, coach or another form of volunteerism for the sport they are registered for. You may choose to forgo volunteering for the sport and the deposit will be reinvested into the league. The Work Bond will be $50 per registration.

REFUND POLICY - Our policy is to offer NO REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION except for extraordinary circumstances (season ending injury or family relocation outside of the immediate area).

TEAMS:  

• Team Size: 10-12 Players Max
• Player Assessments & DRAFT are mandatory for all players!
• All coaches will be available during the assessments and draft teams to ensure the most competitive spread across each division.
• Players will be drafted onto a team according to age and team space.
• Special requests will be considered, but are not guaranteed.

PRACTICES:  

• Practices can begin after team rosters are finalized and coaches reach out to teams, time/location TBD by coaches

GAME FORMAT: 

• All Divisions are 6v6
• All Games are 1 Hour
• ALL Games are on Sunday
• No Games over UCPS Holiday Breaks

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: 

Due to any weather cancellations, games could be scheduled beyond the original season end date. No refunds or credits will be given for make-up dates.

We depend heavily on our Volunteer Coaches coming from our parent ranks. We look forward to welcoming you back for the fall. We are also excited to welcome new volunteer parents as coaches. 

If you are registering to coach, please note that you will be required to complete abuse online training and background check as part of the registration. All coaches must complete this training.

Waxhaw athletic association background check & us center of safesport abuse training

All Volunteer Coaches MUST complete a Waxhaw Sport Volunteer Coach Application for their respective sport, WAA YEARLY BACKGROUND CHECK & SAFESPORT Abuse Prevention Program Training. These must be completed before assignment to a team.

All Volunteer coaches (Baseball, Soccer, Girls Softball, Flag Football, Basketball, Cheer, Volleyball) please continue. Once you've completed the initial Background Check form, you will be sent an email to begin your SafeSport Training. You can also find any needed training at https://my.sportngin.com/user which will have updates as to what you may need to complete.
