Waxhaw Soccer Club, established in 1986 as the Waxhaw Soccer Council, has offered many programs throughout their existence. With humble beginnings as a local recreational soccer program for Waxhaw residents to now serving nearly 1,000 players per year from Waxhaw to the surrounding area. Through our Recreational program for U4-U16 players to our Junior Academy (U7), National Youth Academy (U8-U10), and rounding out with our Classic (U11-U18) programs, we have a soccer path for all players.

Starting in Fall 2024, we will introduce a new Developmental Academy (U8-U10) program with a specific focus on developing players to transfer to our Academy and Classic programs. Players will be evaluated by our professional coaching staff for either Developmental Academy or National Youth Academy programs.

Developmental Academy is for young players that have experience in the game. Through the evaluation process, these players have been identified and invited into the program by our Academy Director. This program will be focused on skill development and putting players of like ability in a more challenging environment. Players will learn to develop their soccer skills through ability groups and team environments. The emphasis will be placed on the development of their individual skills.

All players will be evaluated equally and upon completion of evaluations, will be assigned appropriately based on their skill levels.
