SPRING 2024 RECREATIONAL SOCCER

We're excited for the upcoming season and look forward to many of our players and coaches returning for the spring season! We depend heavily on our volunteer coaches coming from our parent ranks. Many of you have stepped up to volunteer and we are forever grateful. We look forward to welcoming you back for the Spring 2024 season. We are also excited to welcome new volunteer parents as coaches.  

As with our previous seasons, Waxhaw Soccer will offer three age appropriate offerings: Micro, EDP (U6 & U7), and REC U8-U16 for this upcoming Spring season. This Spring though there will be team size caps in place for each age group. All Players will register and pay their fees whether they are Registered to the group OR waitlisted. 

Our Recreational Soccer program is about encouraging kids and their love of the game.  Right now, our kids deserve some sense of normalcy, an outlet to exercise, and the opportunity to continue friendships and make new ones.  Our recreational program will provide a safe environment for kids who want to continue playing the game they love or who want to give the sport a try - no matter their age or experience - and find out why it is the most popular sport in world!

SEASONAL INFORMATION

• FALL SEASON
  • Registration Opens in early June yearly
  • Registration Closes first week of August
  • Season starts the last week of August and runs for 8 weeks
• SPRING SEASON
  • Registration Opens in early December yearly
  • Registration Closes first week of February
  • Season starts the first week of March and runs for 8 weeks with a mid-season break for UCPS Spring Break
• All teams are coached by Volunteer Parent Coaches

MICRO SOCCER FEES

• Birth Years: 2020 & 2019
• Fees: $65.00
• The registration fee covers the cost of NCYSA Fees, insurance, equipment, field maintenance, utility costs, end of season trophy and uniform shirt. 

EDP SOCCER FEES

• Birth Years: 2018 & 2017
• Fees: $195.00
• The registration fee covers the cost of NCYSA Fees, insurance, equipment, field maintenance, utility costs, referee fees, end of season trophy and uniform shirt. 

REC U8-U16 SOCCER FEES

• Birth Years: 2016 to 2008
• Fees: $250.00
• The registration fee covers the cost of NCYSA & UCYS fees, insurance, equipment, field maintenance, utility costs, referee fees and uniforms.  The uniform consists of a jersey, shorts, and socks.

Late Fees

$100.00 fee for registration requests between August 5 - August 10. Requests are subject to team openings review prior to approval.

REFUND POLICY

Our policy is to offer NO REFUNDS except for extraordinary circumstances (season-ending injury or family relocation outside of the immediate area).

WAITLISTS

In the case of players who register to a waitlisted age group, this is how we will handle:

• All players will register with a full registration fee.
• Each Age Group has a maximum number of players per team. For Micro & EDP, this number is low and typically we have no issues with adding teams so long as a parent volunteers to coach the new team from that group. 
• For REC U8-16, we will implement strict caps in place due to UCYS Rules to keep teams even and competitive within the league.
• REC U8-16 returning players, teams will be formed based on the FALL 2023 teams. Returning Coaches or Teams will be listed in a dropdown as part of the registration process. We encourage you to select your players fall team and will do everything we can to keep teams together unless a player opts out of being rostered to their previous team. If you are new to WXW Soccer Club, we are happy to have you with us, there will be an option for you as well! 
• WXW Soccer Club reserves the right to cancel Age Groups or teams based on enrollment, lack of volunteer coaches, and fair play. We will allow for you to be refunded and register with another local club if we cannot field a team in your age group. 
• As a reminder, WXW Soccer Club has a No Refund Policy unless for season ending injury or if you move outside of the local area. Provision being the above stipulations.
