Waxhaw Basketball Families, The time has come!! We are ready to start registering for Winter Rec Basketball 2024/2025 season. As always, we will be forming teams in divisions from 5U to 18U. The registration process is the same as always and you can find a link to the form here:
- Registration Window: September 12 - October 15
- Late Registration: October 16 - 23
This season the registration fees are $250. This includes 2 practices per week, 8 games for the season, an end of season tournament and Union County All Star tournament. All players will receive a uniform set and a shooting shirt as well! Registration will run until October 15, with a late registration request period the following week.
We will be utilizing multiple UCPS gyms and Coffey Courts and Events Center for practices and games. More information and maps for our facilities can be found on the facilities section of the WAA homepage.
We will be hosting our evaluation and team drafts on OCTOBER 26 at Cuthbertson High School. This will run from 12 noon to 7 PM and you will receive information with time slots based on age groups closer to that date.
The WAA is operated fully by volunteers and we could not be successful without the generous help we receive from all of you! If you are interested in coaching, please click through to the coach registration as well. New this season we will be reimbursing the registration fees for all of our head coaches and a partial reimbursement for all of our assistant coaches!

Do you have interest in Coaching Waxhaw Basketball? Our Basketball Coach Registration is no longer part of the player registration. WAA instituted a single COACH & VOLUNTEER APPLICATION that will serve as the only registration for coaches with WAA moving forward.
The all new WAA Coach and Volunteer Application incorporates your application to be a coach within Waxhaw Athletic Association for ALL Sports, but also allows you to complete your mandatory yearly Background Check and SafeSport Abuse Training (or refresher course).
ALL persons who plan to be coaches, managers or volunteers with access to players must complete the application, background check and training.
