CHAMPIONS ON & OFF THE PITCH! You read that correctly! Waxhaw Soccer Club REC U8-U16 Boys & Girls came out, stood tall and proud, and represented the Club in Style & Grace overcoming some adversity to outright WIN 6 of 20 Age Group Divisions, the MOST for any association participating in the Fall UCYS Tournament.

Waxhaw Soccer Club posted 24 of the 112 Total Fall 2024 teams with the second most teams of all associations. While not all teams won their age group divisions, all teams played tremendously well and represented the Club in true Waxhaw fashion. We are tremendously proud of how each and every one of our teams handled themselves in the tournament. We know that all of the teams played so well.

• U9/U10 Girls Silver WAA 1 with Coach Sylvester

• U11/U12 Girls Gold WAA 3 with Coach Gaffaney
• U13/U14 Boys Silver WAA 3 with Coach Hutson
• U15/U16 COED Gold WAA 1 with Coach Seifert

Congratulations to all 24 Waxhaw Soccer Club REC Teams who participated in our this tournament organized by UCYS! There will be some updates coming regarding the Spring Soccer Season and Dates as well as Spring Registration, which will be open the first week of December! Remember, for the Spring Season we plan to keep teams together. More to come from Director of Recreational Soccer, Jack McCabe and Club President, Robert Olsen.

U8 Girls WAA 1 with Coach Lynch

And a special callout for our ONLY U8 Girls team this season. Normally the Club has as many as four U8 Girls REC teams. But this team came into the tournament ready to win and they did like Champs! They won the only match that the tournament organizers allowed the team to play. Coach Lynch's team played amazingly well and we cannot wait to see them back in action in the Spring. They are Champions for being exemplary examples of #WXWPRIDE and Sportsmanship. The Club made sure that they were able to celebrate this week with pizza and special medals!
