Waxhaw, NC - Jan. 14 - Waxhaw Soccer Club is excited to announce our Recreational REC U8-U16 Soccer Registrations & Seasons information for Spring 2025. This has been a long time coming, but we are ready for the spring!
Spring 2025 REC U8-U16 Registration. We needed to tweak our process to better serve our members. Now each age group will have the option to register for early day/time slots as well as later day/time slots. Each age group from U8-U12 will have the option to register for training at either New Town Elementary or Western Union Elementary. Though we encourage our FALL 2024 COACHES to return for the spring season, we cannot guarantee placement on the same team as the fall. Additionally, you notice a new option as part of registration.
Uniforms. We now offer for players to use their uniforms for the entire soccer season, both Fall & Spring. With this, we have broken out fees to allow for a discount for Spring. You will have a selection to either reuse your players complete uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) from your players FALL 2024 season OR order a new one. This will be added under “Uniform Fees” as we have broken this out from the Registration Sports Fees.
Coaches & Team Managers. As always, this is a Volunteer organization and ALL coaches & Team Managers are volunteers from the teams. Some coaches have already indicated they are returning for the Spring 2025 Season. Others are still working through their schedules to understand if they can return. There will be a drop down in the registration for Fall 2024 Coach Name, but this DOES NOT indicate that your player will be on that team for Spring. Only Coaches who have confirmed return are able to keep their teams. If you are a coach from FALL 2024, and you intend to coach this spring, and have not yet confirmed with Interim Rec Director Ben Ashby, please do so immediately to add your name to the schedule. All Teams need a Head Coach and a Team Manager for the start of training on March 3. Interim Director of Recreational Soccer. We Would like to introduce Ben Ashby, Vice President of Waxhaw Soccer Club. He will serve as the interim Rec Director for Spring 2025 REC U8-U16. Ben has been with the Club for several years and has kids within the program. He is quickly coming up to speed with the program and also serves as the Chair of Sponsorships. - Birth Years: 2017-2009
- SP25 UCYS Age Groups: U8 Boys & Girls, U9 Boys, U9/U10 Girls, U10 Boys, U11/U12 Boys & Girls, U13/U14 Boys, U13/14/15 Girls, U15/U16 COED
- Training Days: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
- Training Times @ NTES: 6:00pm or 7:00pm
- Training Times @ WUES: 6:30pm or 7:30pm
- Locations: New Town Elementary & Western Union Elementary Schools
- Each team will have two(2) 60 minute trainings per week
- Up to four(4) Teams per Age Group in the REC U8-U16 Program
- The Club reserves the right to limit the number of teams as well as number of players per team.

U13/14/15 Girls. Our 2010 Birth Year Girls have been realigned with this age group for Spring 2025 as with other Clubs/Associations within UCYS. This will better align teams at both U13/14/15 Girls as well as U15/U16 COED. Our 2009 Birth Year Girls will continue in U15/U16 COED as with other Clubs/Associations.
Volunteerism. As always, REC U8-U16 Coaches come from the parent ranks. As you are registering for a specific days & times, all registrants in each of the age groups will be asked to be a Volunteer Coach or Team Manager.
