2012 14U Girls USYS National Team Tryouts
The current Waxhaw Soccer Club 13U Girls (2012) team qualified, entered, and played in the USYS National League Piedmont Conference during the Spring 2025 season and finished 4th in the division! Amazing for their first season ever in this division and at this level! So what's next? We do it again in 14U, of course.
USYS National League Soccer
The US Youth Soccer National League is the highest level of competition in the US Youth Soccer Leagues Program. It provides an annual platform for the nation's top teams in the 14U through 19U age groups to compete against each other.
Key features of the USYS National League:
- Elite Competition: It features the best teams from across the United States, offering a highly competitive environment.
- College Exposure: The league provides significant exposure to college, professional, and U.S. National Team coaches.
- Pathway to National Championships: The top teams from each National League division advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, the oldest and most prestigious youth soccer national championship in the country.
- Regional Structure: The National League operates with 13 regionally aligned conferences.
- Qualification: Teams earn their place in the league through their performance in previous seasons or via an application process for open slots.
- Alumni Success: Many National League alumni have gone on to play at the collegiate and professional levels, including in NCAA Division I, II, and III, Major League Soccer, the National Women's Soccer League, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Women's World Cup.
NSYS National Piedmont Conference
The NSYS National Piedmont Conference is one of the 13 conferences within the USYS National League. It operates at a multi-state level, primarily including teams from:
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
- Georgia
- Parts of East Tennessee
Key aspects of the Piedmont Conference:
- High-Level Competition: It provides high-level competition on a consistent basis within the region.
- Team-Based Competition: Teams earn their place in the appropriate level of play through their performance on the field.
- Pathway to National League Playoffs and Championships: The top teams in the Piedmont Conference can qualify for the National League Conference Playoffs, which then provides a pathway to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.9
- Multi-State League: Participating teams should expect to travel across state lines for conference games.
- Levels of Play: The highest level of play within each age group is the Premier I Division.
- Fall and Spring Seasons: Generally, 14U-19U age groups play primarily in the fall, while the 13U age group plays in the spring. There can also be additional spring seasons for some age groups.
- Qualification for 2025-2026 Season: For the upcoming season, North Carolina will qualify three teams in the 14U-19U age groups into the Piedmont Conference. The top two finishing teams in each Premier I division of the current season typically retain their spot for the following season. Other teams can apply for open slots.
Waxhaw Soccer Club 2012 Birth Year Girls Tryouts
Waxhaw Soccer Club is holding tryouts on May 19th and 21st, 7:00pm-8:30pm, for 2012 birth year girls who are aiming to play on their 14U USYS National League Soccer Team.
