We are excited to announce the opening of registration for our Summer 2025 volleyball season. 

SUMMER 2025 VOLLEYBALL REGISTRATION

WAA Volleyball is a developmental league open to girls and boys ages 5-18 of all skill levels. Each player will be placed on a team and receive a uniform to keep.

The 2025 Summer season will run from June 9 to August 17 and will practice one night a week with games on Sunday afternoons.

The focus will be on skills development, working towards age-specific goals so players can be prepared for the upcoming Fall season!

Details

• Ages: Open to girls and boys ages 5 to 18. All play is co-ed.
• Levels: All levels welcome. 
• Divisions: 9U, 12U, 13+. Player age as of May 1, 2025.
• Practices: One practice per week
• 9U teams practice on Wednesdays
• 12U teams practice on Mondays
• 13+ teams practice on Wednesdays
• First practices start between 5:00 and 6:00 PM.
• Games: Eight-game regular season (played on Sunday afternoons)

• Registration opens: Saturday, May 5
• Registration closes: Sunday, June 1
• Practice days will be Mondays and Wednesdays 
• Mondays: All 12U teams
• Wednesdays All 9U and all 13+ teams
• First practices: Monday, June 9 (12U) / Wednesday, June 11 (9U and 13+)
• First games: Sunday, June 22
• Games are scheduled for Sunday, July 6
• Coffey Courts closed July 12 - 19
• No practices Monday, July 14 or Wednesday, July 16
• No games Sunday, July 13
• Last practices: Monday, August 11 / Wednesday, August 13
• last games: Sunday, August 17
• No postseason tournament for summer season

Cost 

• Ages 9 and under: $215 
• Ages 10, 11, 12: $245 
• Ages 13+: $265 
• Discount for re-using current uniform: $15
• Discount for families registering more than one child: $20 for each child registered after the first  
• Late registration fee (after June 1): $100

• All volleyball activities held at Coffey Courts & Events Center. On your GPS, use 6611 Waxhaw Highway, Waxhaw, NC.

Coaching

Coaches are needed! We rely on volunteer coaches to make our different sports programs work and encourage all parents to consider giving their time to coach our players.  

• At least one coach needed per team 
• No prior volleyball experience necessary. WAA can aid through coaching clinics and practice plans 
• All persons who plan to be coaches, managers, or volunteers with access to players must complete the application, background check and training. 
• The WAA Coach and Volunteer Application incorporates your application to be a coach within Waxhaw Athletic Association for ALL Sports, but also allows you to complete your mandatory yearly Background Check and SafeSport Abuse Training (or refresher course).

Refund Policy

WAA policy is to offer no refunds after registration except for extraordinary circumstances such as season ending injury, family relocation outside of the local area, or the player makes her/his school team.
