spring 2023 Recreational Soccer

We're excited to start our registration for the Spring 2023 Recreational Soccer Season! As with our previous seasons, Waxhaw Soccer will offer three Age Appropriate offerings: Micro, EDP, and REC U8-U16 for this upcoming Spring Season. We had a huge turnout this past spring and we look forward to many of your players returning this coming season!

Our registration form allows for our Parent Volunteers to register as a Coach all within the same form now! Register your player & Register yourself to coach at the same time now! While we LOVE our volunteer coaches, this is completely optional. 

No Registrations after 12:00pm February 10, 2023 will be accepted.

spring 2023 Recreational Soccer Dates

We will close Registration on February 5, 2023. Any registration request after this date until 12:00pm February 10th will incur an additional $100.00 late fee. No Registrations after February 10, 2023 will be accepted. 

AGE Groups:

  • Micro - 3 & 4 Year Olds (2019/2018)
  • EDP - 5 & 6 Year Olds (2017/2016)
  • REC -  7 Years to 16 Years old (2015-2007)

Spring 2023 Season:

  • December 13 - Registration Opens
  • Feb. 5 - Registration Closes
  • Feb. 6-10 - Late Registration Requests ($100 Late Fee)
  • March 6 - First week of Micro & EDP practice
  • March 6 - First week of REC U8-16 practice
  • March 18/19 - First weekend of REC U8-U16 Games
  • April 8-16 - UCPS Spring Break/Easter Holiday No Practices/Games
  • No Games Memorial Day Weekend
  • June 3-4 - REC U8-U16 Optional Queen City Classic

For Residents of South Carolina, You will be required to submit a registration to South Carolina Youth Soccer for Interstate Player Permission. This is only for residents of South Carolina wishing to play in North Carolina. 

volunteer coaches

We're trying something new with our Recreational Soccer Registration for Spring 2023. For the first time you as parents can register your player(s), your player(s) as well as yourself as a Volunteer Coach or strictly register as a Volunteer Coach in one single form. This is a departure from previous years where we had two separate forms.

Our organization depends heavily on our Volunteer Coaches coming from our parent ranks. Many of you have stepped up to volunteer and we are forever grateful. We look forward to welcoming you back for the fall. We are also excited to welcome new volunteer parents as coaches.  If you are registering to coach, please note that you will be required to complete NCYSA SafeSport online training and background check. All coaches must complete this training.

Micro Soccer Fees

  • Birth Years: 2019 & 2018
  • Spring 2023 Fees: $65.00
  • The registration fee covers the cost of NCYSA Fees, insurance, equipment, field maintenance, utility costs, end of season trophy and uniform shirt. 

EDP Soccer Fees

  • Birth Years: 2017 & 2016
  • Spring 2023 Fees: $195.00
  • The registration fee covers the cost of NCYSA Fees, insurance, equipment, field maintenance, utility costs, referee fees, end of season trophy and uniform shirt. 

REC U8-U16 SOCCER FEES

  • Birth Years: 2015 to 2007
  • Spring 2023 Fees: $250.00
  • The registration fee covers the cost of NCYSA & UCYS fees, insurance, equipment, field maintenance, utility costs, referee fees and uniforms.  The uniform consists of a jersey, shorts, and socks.

Late Fees - $100.00 fee for registration requests between Feb. 6-10. Requests are subject to team openings review prior to approval.

REFUND POLICY - Our policy is to offer NO REFUNDS except for extraordinary circumstances (season ending injury or family relocation outside of the immediate area).

All Players, Parents & Coaches are bound by our Code of Conduct. Please be sure to review this on our Parent Portal. 

Guidelines on Player Conduct​​​​​​

  • Players will play within the rules at all times.
  • Players will give their best effort on the field.
  • Players will give their teammates 100% support.
  • Players will not harass, nor verbally attack, others.
  • Players will not intentionally attempt to injure others.
  • Players will not use inappropriate or obscene language.
  • Players will never openly question a coach or umpire(s).
  • Players will not mingle with parents or supporters during games or practices.
  • Players will never respond to any negative comments from parents or supporters.
  • Players will arrive on time for all team related functions.
    • As a member of the team, you have a responsibility to the other team players to be at practices and games.
    • If you are unable to attend any practices or games, please call, text, or email your coach at your earliest convenience (24 hrs notice preferred).
  • Players will wear the appropriate uniform, practice attire, and protective equipment whenever they are on the field.
  • Players should congratulate opponents on good plays, help opponents up if they are down or injured, and shake hands at the end of a game.
  • Players should approach the coach with any questions about playing time, positioning, or strategy before/after games or practices. These issues will not be discussed with teammates, especially during a game.

Any behavior deemed unacceptable by this Code of Conduct will be dealt with as provided in the NCYSA Rules and Regulations.

Suspensions, periods of probation, or team dissolution may result from violations of the Code of Conduct.

Parent Code of Conduct

  • I will encourage good sportsmanship from players, coaches, officials, and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship myself.
  • I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of my personal desire to win.
  • I will refrain from making derogatory remarks or using foul language to or about any referees, coaches, parents, players, and spectators.
  • I will make sure my player(s) and I will treat other players, parents, spectators, referees, and coaches with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or playing ability.
  • I will remember that I am a parent/guardian of a player, and that the game is for the children, not the adults.
  • I will be knowledgeable of the rules and will teach these rules to my player(s).
  • I will refrain from the use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco products at all WSC sponsored events, games and practices.
  • I understand that intimidating actions with children, parents, spectators, referees or coaches will not be tolerated.

Any behavior deemed unacceptable by this Code of Conduct will be dealt with as provided in the NCYSA Rules and Regulations.
