Harvey clay Nesbit ATHLETIC Park Soccer fields | Waxhaw, NC

Harvey Clay Nesbit Park is a 40 acre park located in the northwest quadrant of Town of Waxhaw. Harvey Clay Nesbit Park is property of the Town of Waxhaw and managed by Waxhaw Parks & Recreation with field maintenance provided by Waxhaw Athletic Association. It offers residents parking areas, baseball fields, softball fields, multi-purpose fields, lit fields, and picnic tables. The park is easily accessible from Kensington Drive. The park itself, is adjacent to Kensington Elementary School and the residential community of Millbridge.

The Town of Waxhaw Parks & Recreation Department currently works with the Waxhaw Athletic Association to bring recreational athletics to citizens of Waxhaw via H.C. Nesbit Park.

An Important Note on Parking

Parking is available at the park as well as at Kensington Elementary School. The school has two parking lots of which one can be accessed off of H.C. Nesbit Park Road and the other off of Kensington Drive. Space is limited. Please refrain from parking on any residential streets within the community of Millbridge.

Waxhaw Parks & Rec allows for pets in the Park, but no pets are to be within 20ft of the playing surface of the fields.

Soccer Field 8 is UCPS property, which means No Pets at Soccer Field 8.

REC Soccer utilizes the three(3) lighted painted fields for both training and for games at this facility. Fields are as such:

Field 1, closest to Western Union School Road
- 70yd x 50yd painted grass surface
- Utilizes 18.5' Kwik-Goals
- Training for all age groups and is halved for all training.
- U9-U12 play games on this field.
- Overhead Lighting

Field 2, the center most field
- 70yd x 50yd painted grass surface
- Utilizes 18.5' Kwik-Goals
- Training for all age groups and is halved for all training.
- U9-U12 play games on this field.
- Overhead Lighting

Field 3, the furthest most field
- 55yd x 38yd painted grass surface
- Utilizes 18.5' Kwik-Goals
- U8 games are played on this field only
- Overhead Lighting

REC U8-U16 Soccer utilizes the one(1) painted field for both training and for games at this facility. Field is as such:

Field 1, Located directly behind the school:
- 85yd x 60yd painted grass surface
- Utilizes 21' Kwik-Goals + two(2) additional 18.5' Kwik-Goals
- Training: U8-U12; Field is quartered for all training (See Image)
- Game Play: U13-U16 play games on this field
- Lighting: Portable Lighting on site in-season
- Portable Restroom located on site
- Portable Benches located on site
