Good Evening Volleyball Parents & Coaches!

We are quickly approaching the PLAYOFFS and I want to thank everyone for what has become a very exciting season so far. The kids are growing in skill level and the enthusiasm that I see every week when I walk through the gym during game days is so great!!!

I wanted to send a quick reminder of a few things that will be STRICTLY enforced going forward.

  • PLAYERS - you will be REQUIRED to WEAR (not just bring) your CURRENT WAA Volleyball jersey to open gym. Our insurance ONLY covers current registered players and this is the best way for us to track our participants. If you do no not bring your jersey, you will NOT be allowed to enter the gym.
  • COACHES - you are REQUIRED to sign up when you plan to be at the OPEN GYM so we have BACKGROUND CHECKED supervisors at the gym. If we do not have anyone sign up AND show up, the OPEN GYM will be cancelled.
  • DOG WALKERS - as much as I love my toy schnoodle, I am not allowed to bring him to practices or games and I want to ask everyone else to abide by this rule as well. This includes leaving your 4-legged friend in your car or walking him or her around the property that Coffey Courts sits on. If a pet is brought to a game/practice, you and your furry friend will be asked to leave the premises. Thx for your understanding.
  • BENCH AREA SIGNS - you will notice beginning this week that a few signs will be going up asking that only players/coaches/staff/referees be allowed to walk in the areas that are carpeted near the player benches. This is for player safety and we appreciate your cooperation regarding this matter.

We are REMOVING the OPEN GYM slot on Monday @ 6pm going forward because it is only available on HALF of a court and doesn't provide enough space for what an open gym would require. This is a safety concern for both the open gym participants and the teams that are practicing.

I hope everyone is enjoying this warm up we are experiencing and luckily, if the weatherman is predicting the weather correctly, we will be indoors and dry while the soccer and baseball players dodge the raindrops this weekend!

Hope to see you all this Sunday!!

Todd Dinchak - WAA President
