We are excited to announce the opening of registration for our Summer volleyball league.The league will run from early June to early August and will practice one night a week with games on Sundays. The focused will be on skills development working towards age-specific goals so players are well prepared for the Fall!

WAA VOLLEYBALL INFORMATION

WAA’s volleyball program is open to Girls and Boys ages 5-18. Ours is a developmental league open to players of all skill levels. Each player will be placed on a team and receive a uniform jersey to keep. 

• Season Length: Early June to Early August. First Practices June 11. Last games August 11. We will take a week-long break the week of July 4 with no scheduled practices or games.
• Games are to be played on Sunday's at Coffey Courts. 
• Practices: Each team will practice at least once per week.  
• Practice days and times will be determined by gym and coach availability 
• Open Court periods will be offered where the schedule permits.  
• Location: All practices and matches will be held at Coffey Courts & Events Center. On your GPS, use 6611 Waxhaw Highway, Waxhaw, NC

Important announcement about practice days and gym availability. Volleyball must share Coffey Courts with WAA Basketball so our availability for practices is limited to two days. When registering, you will be asked to select a practice day of either Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday (6-9pm).

• Wednesday Option: We will have the gym on Wednesday's for the entire Summer
• Tuesday/Thursday: Through June, we will have the gym on Tuesday's for practices. Beginning on July 13, practices will be on Thursday's through the remainder of the season.

2024 SUMMER LEAGUE SCHEDULE

• Registration Opens: Thursday May 2
• Registration Closes: Sunday May 26
• Late Registration Opens: Monday May 27
• First Practices: Tuesday June 11 / Wednesday June 12
• First Games: Sunday June 16
• Fourth of July Break: Monday July 1 - Sunday July 7 (No Practices, No Games)
• Open Gyms may be scheduled if Coffey Courts permits
• Practices Resume: Wednesday July 10 / Thursday July 11
• Games Resume: Sunday July 14
• Last Practices: Wednesday August 7 / Thursday August 8
• Last Games: Sunday August 11
• No postseason tournament for Summer league

AGE DIVISIONS

• Preliminary: 9U, 12U, 13+ 
• WAA may adjust the divisions based on the registrations 
• All divisions to be co-ed
• Player age as of May 1, 2024

SUMMER 2024 REGISTRATION FEES

• Ages 9 and Under: $210 
• Ages 10, 11, 12: $230  
• Ages 13+: $250 
• Late Registration Fee (after May 26): $100 
• Discount for families registering more than one child 
• $20 discount for each child registered after the first 
• No Work Bond for Summer 2024 Season 
• Refund pool for volunteer coaches
• At the conclusion of the season, WAA will issue refunds to our volunteer coaches 
• 100% refund for Head Coach. 50% refund for one Assistant Coach (Less processing fees)
• Max of 1 refund per coach. Max of 2 coaches per team 
• To be eligible, coaches must attend a preseason clinic, participate throughout the entire season and complete the player evaluation form for each team member 

REFUND POLICY - WAA POLICY IS TO OFFER NO REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION EXCEPT FOR EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES (SEASON ENDING INJURY OR FAMILY RELOCATION OUTSIDE OF THE IMMEDIATE AREA).
