MISSION & VISION
Waxhaw Soccer Club (WXW) is one of the oldest sports of the Waxhaw Athletic Association and is committed to developing the love of soccer within our players and our community. WXW Soccer Club started in 1986 as the Soccer Council of Waxhaw and has grown to become one of the largest, most competitive soccer organizations in Union County. With over 1,000 youth participants in our soccer programs (Competitive + Recreational) each year, we continue to grow our program and reach in Union County annually.

Seasonal sponsored player scholarships
Athlete Sponsored Scholarships are a great way to support young athletes in our community who are in need of assistance to play. Your gift allows children to play the game of soccer, who otherwise might not have a chance to play.
- Single Season Sponsorship/Scholarship for a player in need of financial assistance.
- Available for our REC U8-16, Academy & Travel Players

WXW Soccer Club provides a progressive developmental program including Micro and Early Development Program (EDP) for our youngest players, Recreational programs for players of all levels, and then competitive Academy and Classic programs for our more advanced players who travel and compete at local, state and regional levels. We also provide coaching clinics and additional training opportunities to support each level of instruction.
Our goal is to provide children and their families with accessible, age-appropriate developmental programs that players can grow with over time. We start our youngest athletes with early developmental programs so they can focus on building skills and confidence in a fun, safe and supportive environment. As our players grow older, we work with them through our more competitive programs to advance their technical skills while expanding their tactical knowledge of the game. At every level, we encourage positive motivation, good sportsmanship, and teamwork while building a sense of community.
Communities that participate in sport and recreation develop strong social bonds, are safer places and the people who live in them are generally healthier and happier than places where physical activity isn’t a priority. Sport and recreation builds stronger, healthier, happier and safer communities.
Sponsorships support training for coaches, tournament fees, uniforms, facility and equipment upgrades as well as provide additional athlete scholarships.

As an all-volunteer organization, we promote parent and community involvement. Many of our coaches are parents who have played competitive sports, have a strong knowledge of the game and want to share their experience through coaching a team. We provide coaching clinics and curricula to support each level of instruction. We invest annually in our fields and facilities to ensure that they are up to standard and safe for play.
Over the years, the Waxhaw Athletic Association has worked hard - and with a lot of heart - to build a strong sense of community. We welcome new players and their families to be part of our growth, now and in the future.
