New address. New way to enter and exit the facility. Please see the map below. The owner is requiring people to enter from Highway 75/Waxhaw Highway on a gravel road (15 MPH). Exit the facility via the road that goes by the graveyard towards Western Union Elementary School.
COFFEY COURTS IS OPEN AND READY TO HOST VOLLEYBALL!
- New! Directly accessible from Hwy 75 via new access road.
- North Court - has parking in the "front" of the building. Please park there.
- South Court - park in the back and enter at that door.
- Side A vs B - Side A will be the side that has the roll up door on it and side B will have the door leading to the restrooms.
Coffey Courts is requesting parents and players to use the entrance off of Waxhaw Highway and exit using the road that goes past the graveyard.

Established in 2023, WAA Volleyball is a recreational program open to players of all skill levels. Our focus is teaching the great game of volleyball to our youth athletes. We offer programs for Girls and Boys from the age of 5 through 18. See more info below!

We have several changes for the Spring 2024 season!
- Reduced registration fees for younger age players
- Discount for families registering more than one player
- No Work Bond
- Refund pool for volunteer coaches
- Coaching clinics to enhance coach and player development
- Return to Coffey Courts with improved facilities

- Ages 7 and under: $200
- Ages 8 - 9: $240
- Ages 10 and Over: $275
- Late Registration Fee (after February 18): $100
- New! Discount for families registering more than one child
- $20 discount for each child registered after the first

- WAA will still ask for volunteers to help with scoring

- At the conclusion of the season, WAA will issue refunds to our volunteer coaches
- Max of 1 refund per coach. Max of 2 coaches per team
- 100% refund for Head Coach. 50% refund for one Assistant Coach (Less processing fees)
- To be eligible, coaches must participate through the entire season
**Refund Policy: WAA policy is to offer NO REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION except for extraordinary circumstances (season ending injury or family relocation outside of the local area)**
League Details:
- Season Length: Eight regular season matches (games), followed by an end-of season tournament where each team will play at least one match.
- Matches to be decided by the best two of three games. The first two games are to 25. The third game (if necessary) is to 15. Rally scoring.
- Match length: No more than 50 minutes
- Matches are to be played on Sundays at Coffey Courts. We may also play matches on Saturdays, depending on registration numbers
- Practices: Each team will practice at least once per week.
- Practices will be held on weeknights: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Note: Coffey Courts will not be available to WAA Volleyball on Thursdays.
- Practice days and times will be determined by gym and coach availability
- New! When registering, parents will be asked to specify if there is one day their child CANNOT practice. This is to help with rostering and scheduling.
- Open Court periods will be offered where the schedule permits.

WANT TO BE A WAXHAW VOLLEYBALL COACH?
WAA is a volunteer lead organization. We rely on volunteer coaches to make our different sports programs work and encourage all parents to consider giving their time to coach our players.
- At least one (preferably two coaches) is needed per team
- No prior volleyball experience necessary. WAA will aid through coaching clinics and practice plans
- Coaches can pick their preferred practice day

Our Volleyball Coach Registration is no longer part of the player registration. WAA instituted a single COACH & VOLUNTEER APPLICATION that will serve as the only registration for coaches with WAA moving forward.
The all new WAA Coach and Volunteer Application incorporates your application to be a coach within Waxhaw Athletic Association for ALL Sports, but also allows you to complete your mandatory yearly Background Check and SafeSport Abuse Training (or refresher course).
ALL persons who plan to be coaches, managers or volunteers with access to players must complete the application, background check and training.
